Wermers Properties, a lead developer of multifamily residential projects across Southern California, starts 2023 by breaking ground on a new 72-unit apartment community in the City of Encinitas, CA. This project marks the first multifamily project of its kind to receive entitlement and building approvals in Encinitas in many years.

Located just steps to South Ponto Beach, the coastal wetland of Batiquitos Lagoon, and the Alila Marea Beach Resort in Encinitas, the project will enhance the community connectedness by providing pedestrians with a new sidewalk pathway for beach access. New benches will provide seating for the public to enjoy on their way to and form the local eclectic cafes and the beach. Moreover, the planned development project features natural landscape, murals art by local artists, and unique amenity spaces that allow residents to experience Leucadia in a new, but familiar way. One of the exclusive amenities available to residents is the rooftop exterior lounge with views of Highway 101, the Pacific Ocean, and lagoon.

Community character is an important aspect of this project. Pitch roofs, natural stone, and other elements of the project’s exterior add to the already vibrant Leucadia architecture. The project received positive feedback at city council meetings. “We need more roofs over our heads. This housing project is the perfect one to bookend Vulcan Avenue and Leucadia,” a resident said. “I can’t express this enough; this project is a perfect fit.”

“Construction is anticipated to last throughout this year and be ready for residents in 2024. The project consists of apartments with different configurations for various lifestyles and will provide residents with luxury designer amenities including a clubhouse, on-site wellness gym, plunge pool, and stunning ocean views,” said Austin Wermers.
